On the 3rd of January 2010, at beloved Brooklyn haunt Monkeytown, internationally renowned artists Jim Avignon (Berlin) and Jon Burgerman (UK) return to New York to perform, paint and purr for your delight as their hot new band Anxieteam.

Using the most modern technology currently available (whilst remaining relatively inexpensive) Happy Virus Happy will see both Avignon and Burgerman project onto the walls of the venue a startling, experimental, visual spectacle. Compositions, characters and crocodiles will dance into life, spawned live in between and during songs.

Come and be soothed and massaged, in an audio visual sense, by the dexterous doodling and velveteen voices of Anxieteam. Songs of salads, mischievous rodents and heartache are carried along on a wave of melodic electronic beats occasionally punctuated by the fragile and fudged plucking of a ukulele.

Avignon is a contemporary German artist, designer and respected cult figure in the pop art world. He is deftly prolific, provocative and a highly original artist who has toured his music and delighted crowds from New York, Tel Aviv, Brighton, Paris, Finland, Singapore and Russia.

Burgerman hails from the UK and exhibits and paints live across the globe taking in Beijing, LA, NYC, Munich and Tokyo on his recent travels. His work is collected by museums and galleries and has been described as "Walt Disney at an Incan monument on mescaline" by Dazed and Confused magazine. His droll, dry humour and iconic idiosyncratic scrawls has made him the seemingly reluctant, stoic figurehead of an ever thriving doodle-pop movement.
