Just in time for the climax of the 2008 election cycle comes IDOL
TALK, a roundup of fresh political videos and multimedia performances.

THE MAIN EVENT: The grand finale of electro provocateur Maxx Klaxon's
"Authoritarian Idol" series. This 45-minute performance mashes up
live music and interactive video into a delirium of reality TV, cable
news, and retro-digital animation. Maxx interviews cybernetic avatars
(who suspiciously resemble certain familiar politicians) as they
compete to rule the world. The whole digital fever-dream is set to
the beat of Maxx's dry, dark Kraftwerkian pop stylings. Who will
prevail? Don't wait till November 5 -- learn the answer a week early!

BUT FIRST: Conceptual artist Luke DuBois gives a rare live
presentation of his captivating piece "From Gentlemen to Terror in 43
Easy Steps," neatly dissecting 200+ years of State of the Union
speeches in 10 minutes.

PLUS: A selection of fresh, political, entertaining short videos,
including new installments of the animated "Get Your War On" by David
Rees.
