The Points North formerly known as Saint Joe Hazelwood, is an acoustic band from Boston, MA who play minimalist folk that can best be described as a soundtrack to the harsh yet strangely nostalgic New England winter.

Miwa Gemini
Cute as a button and talented as few, Miwa Gemini is a breath of fresh air to the female "singer-song writer" stable. Her voice is sweet, yet deep, and her folk-music stands out from the crowd thanks to the use of banjo and mandolin. It's a bit like throwing The Mountain Goats together with Nina Simone and Tom Waits: hazy, organic, and simply stunning.

Todd is New Each Moment
Bryan Hamill and Thomas Wilk are Todd Is New Each Moment, a guitar and keyboard two-piece that plays songs about doing good business, going on panicked vacations, and heretical love. The surreal nonfiction of Todd's songs is guided by a landscape of tinny yet fat synthesizers, verdant guitars, and programmed drum beats. It sounds like Hallmark greeting cards playing Brian Eno songs, amplified into outer space.
