Composer Matt Darriau (Klezmatics, Ballin' The Jack), brings his eclectic and innovative Paradox Trio to accompany the silent film Battleship Potemkin. Paradox utilizes its infamous mix of Balkan, klezmer, original and high energy music as well as theatrical toys and found objects to create rich cinematic scores that complement and contradict the characters and events the film. Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin (60min), famous for its use of montage is a dramatic and emotional film about the stirrings of the Russian Revolution and the uprising of the people of Odessa in support of the mutinous sailors of the Potemkin.
