Northern Valentine is a husband and wife, Robert and Amy Brown, along with a revolving collaboration of close friends who join them from show to show. Churning through yawning ambient drones, coupled with tinges of psychedelic and post-rock, Northern Valentine embraces the innate spontaneity of collaboration and improvisation, bridging the gap between quiet and meditative drones, and fuzzy, calculated instrumental music. They will be playing this show in support of their new record, "The Distance Brings Us Closer", released in November 2008 on Silber Records.

My Empty Phantom, aka Jesse Beaman, gives ambient music a fresh approach through haunting synths, psychedelic guitar, and other instruments, masterfully woven together during his performances. Unlike film music, a genre most often compared to this style of ambient music, My Empty Phantom pushes the music to the foreground, not the background, bringing the listener fully into the music.
