The Dead Dogs, an experimental rock band with a fondness for
improvisation, will be presenting
the 1976 Dennis Hopper classic, Mad Dog Morgan. The film is about an
19th century Irish expatriate who went to
Australia looking for gold. Desperation drove him to highway robbery,
where he sentenced to twelve years
of manual labor. He is released for good behavior, and then seeks
vengeance on all those who have wronged
him. This film features stunning visuals of the Australian
countryside. The Dead Dogs will perform their own musical
interpretation of the film that is a combination of composition and
improvisation. "Beaten...branded...brutalized...but never broken."
