Showtime:

This event brings together like-minded artists who have collaborated to create sound, image, thought and experimentation exploring technology and its consequence.

Performing at 7:45, Ergo creates music of stark melodic beauty, enveloping electro-acoustic texture and empathic imagination. Comprised of Brett Sroka on trombone and computer, Carl Maguire on keyboards and Shawn Baltazor on drums, the group has recently made their European debut and recorded a second CD entitled "Multitude, Solitude". Mulitmedia artist Bryan Teoh will accompanying Ergo with a live, interactive video environment.

Screening at 9:00, Space Times Square is an experimental film that explores the existential meanings of Times Square; written and directed by media theorist Barry Vacker, with hypnotic images, poetic narration, and an electronic score by Brett Sroka. Space Times Square has been screened at festivals in Hamburg, Dallas, Beijing, Paris, and Philadelphia, and will make its debut in New York City tonight.
