HiFi New Music continues on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The first half of this concert will feature recent works for instruments, video and electronics by Samson Young, including his Bloomberg-Emerging-Artist-Award-winning 2 channel-video performance "Po Means Ordinary in Chinese" - in which the composer himself is seen on the streets of Hong Kong dressed as one of the Teletubbies. This piece was recently seen in the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Bi-city Biennale 2007.

In the second half of the evening, Young teams up with New York's budding new music collective Matrix Music Collaborators to present a special program of silent film + contemporary music, featuring some of the best loved classics from 1970s Hong Kong cinema.

Po' Means Ordinary in Chinese (2007) for actor in Teletubby costume, video and electronics

Roxy. New York (2007) for string quartet, video and electronics

Ageha. Tokyo (2007) for violin, video and electronics

Efflorescentric Aftermath (2006) for clarinet, video and electronics
