What do Junior Soprano, British TV chef Delia, and Jane Birken have in common?

They are all key players in a new mulit-channel video installation/live performance designed by Christina Vantzou for Monkey Town. Christina first developed her animated video stylings as an art student in Baltimore in the late '90s. In the last decade Christina has been commissioned to create videos for Christopher Willits, Fovea Hex, Sparklehorse, Tokion magazine, and Mtv Netherlands. Christina is also one half of The Dead Texan, a collaborative audiovisual project with composer Adam Wiltzie. Incidentally, The Dead Texan's first ever live performance took place at Monkey Town back in 2005.

Neopolitan Ice Cream for 30 Birthdays is Christina's most recent video brainchild and involves 90 minutes of newly collected film footage & home videos mixed with slow motion graphics and her signature frame by frame animations. The installation's soundtrack is designed by Ms. Vantzou and includes selected instrumental pieces, some of her own sonic noodlings, plus new and unreleased Dead Texan material.
