When Tarek is invited to attend his cousin Karim's wedding in Beirut he leaves New York and takes to the long road. Hopping on and off planes, boats, trains, buses, and cars to arrive just in time for the ceremony. All along his cam corder is faithfully and impressionistically recording the journey. Part documentary part art film TO THE WEDDING pays homage to the landscape and people of the middle east through the eye of the returnee (65 minutes).
