Pangea Day is a global event bringing the world together through film. On May 10, 2008, live events in Cairo, Kigali, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai, and Rio de Janeiro will be linked to produce a 4-hour program of powerful films, live music, and visionary speakers. We'll be watching the live broadcast along with millions of people around the world.

Pangea Day wants to help people see themselves in others — through the power of film. Movies alone can't change the world. But the people who watch them can. We want to use the day to prove that communication and storytelling can inspire. While we show the live broadcast in Monkey Town's amazing back room, we'll have computer stations in the front to connect with other events around the world - and we'll be feeding photos and video from our event to the live broadcast! Plus, we'll have local teen filmmakers from Reelworks, who will show you how they're learning to tell stories on film to change their lives and the world.

Bring a laptop if you can and contact the organizers if you're able to do so. KIDS ARE WELCOME. And food and cocktails will be served. Contact Maria or Bri at pangea.monkeytown@gmail.com with any questions.
