New Video Art from students in the MFA Computer Art dept. at School of Visual Arts

Around 20 artists will present new single-channel and multiple-channel video art works done in Jarryd Lowder's "New Forms in Video" and "DVD-Video Authoring" classes in the MFA Computer Art dept. at SVA. The pieces were shot using everything from ultra-cheap pinhole & microlens video cameras to pricey high definition camcorders. In addition to live action video footage, the artists used other production techniques such as time lapse, stop motion and motion detection. The videos shown are intended for output media including Internet-based video, DVD-Video, Blu-ray video, video installation, performance, multi-channel synchronized video, etc.
