Elika mix powerful & melodic female vocals with textured guitars; field recordings; and crisp drum programming to create incredibly visual songs with the atmosphere of childhood and layers of detail. Influences include Slowdive, Karen Carpenter, Boards of Canada, Nico, and Squarepusher. Ulrich Schnauss has described Elika as, "An incredibly exciting, radical fusion of shoegaze and electronica elements."
