Keyboardist/Composer Russ Kaplan's diverse musical obsessions have led him through the worlds of jazz, rock, and theatre music. His latest project brings all these elements together, an improvisational urban mini-orchestra that tells fantastic stories through Kaplan’s evocative compositions.

For their Monkeytown debut, RMK + 6 will be pulling the curtain off the completed First Act of "The Ulysses Cycle," the score for an unstaged jazz ballet of Homer's Odyssey. The players this time out include Matt Shulman, Alex Heitlinger, Vinnie Sperrazza, Kyle Saulnier (The Awakening Orchestra), Moppa Elliot (Mostly Other People Do the Killing), and percussionist Rohin Khemani.
