This evening will feature a variety of sets which celebrate the plethora of approaches taken to improvised music. Prehistoric Horse is an electro-acoustic ensemble consisting of cello, percussion, and guitar/electronics explorting aural textures and the frontier of sonic sanity. LathanFlin&Ali are a sax, drums, and bass trio with one foot in the tradition of free jazz and one foot in the abyss. The music of cellist Okkyung Lee can only speak for itself. Concluding the evening will be J.P. Schlegelmilch, whose music is found "where the hammer hits the string."
