August 7th will see Progressive Hip-Hop at it's finest brought to you by Uncommon Records in one of the most unique settings in New York, Monkey Town. Capturing the energy that these acts are going to bring in such a cozy relaxed setting really only comes along once in a lifetime. On the 7th, you'll see a mix of local acts and touring acts as well. All the way from Baltimore, Maryland is Teddy Faley. Teddy's heavy chopped up and remixed sound will be stunning this close. From Brooklyn and Connecticut comes Phenetiks with their own raw style. L.I.F.E. Long- the NYC veteran emcee will also rock, you should know him from his solo work as well as with Stronghold and cameos with Anti-Pop Consortium and others. The Presence, the keys behind the whole Uncommon movement will be there to rep their brand of Progressive Hip-Hop to the fullest. Closing out the night will be a full on Hip-Hop band, Evolucid, complete with a sound equal parts Metal and B-Boy. The whole night will feature DJ Dyllemma on the ones and twos as well helping keep the drinks flowing and the food coming. Truly Unique Hip-Hop for adventurous tastes!
