Screening of filmmaker Kenji Hayasaki's works including his newest short "Brain Bug" and a briefing of his debut feature "Off the Route", followed by live performance of Japanese space rock band Marianne. DJ sets in the beginning, middle, and end.

An award winning filmmaker/visual artist, Kenji Hayasaki has produced numerous works since he left his home country at the age of 16.

Kenji's film "Life" draws the audience in a very vivid way, both imaginative and daily perception of the characters, their feelings and their behavior.

Kenji plays with both narrative form and transitions of the avant-garde – bouncing back and forth with great style, humor and resonance. Kenji’s work is articulate and minimalist and speaks to the outsider with a silent wink and a nod.

Hailing From Brooklyn via Japan, Marianne brings a heavy dose of facility along with boundless energy that elevates them above other run of the mill electronically influenced rock outfits, its raw and inspired, drawing heavily from rock, electronic and experimental genres without relying on posturing vocalists and rehashed rock formulas.
