Zipperhead, a multimedia event Thursday, September 10th Zipperhead,a New Multimedia Performance premiers September 10th at Monkey Town in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. NYC based alternative band, Sineparade has joined forces with acclaimed video artist Alex Itin, to create a unique multimedia show depicting the first decade of the new century in NYC. As the first plane hits on 9/11/01, Wall Street Trader, Andrew Sarchus king of the markets, is safe in a hotel room with his secretary, avoiding entombment in his WTC office. His lovely wife, Marla shocked to hear his irritated voice answer the phone, suffers the first in a series of emotional insults as Andrew’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic. Andrew’s decline echoes the fall of the American banking system as his aberrant behavior, the result of a growing brain tumor, clouds his judgment. The story is told through a seamless amalgam of new contemporary songs written by Sineparade and dramatic narrations with video accompaniment by Alex Itin. Andrew’s head is “unzipped” by a series of interspersed brief "didactic" video vignettes explaining the neurological basis for his behavior. For more information, please visit:
