A night of ambient/electronica music mixed with elaborate visuals projected on 4 walls. For fans of Boards of Canada, the Album Leaf, Air, Portishead, Sigur Ros, etc.----don't miss this event!

Arms and Sleepers return to Monkeytown for yet another exciting night of ambient/electronic music with custom-made synched visuals to go along. Having spent the summer writing and recording their second full-length album titled "Matador," the band is back on the road and will be playing mostly new material from this and other upcoming releases. "Matador" is released worldwide in the fall of 2009, and this is your chance to get a sneak preview of the new music! For more info, please visit: www.armsandsleepers.com

Arms and Sleepers make ethereal, noir electronic music just this side of other sex-inducing acts like Portishead and M83.
- Boston's Weekly Dig

For anyone looking for a refreshing new change of pace, I have little doubt that Arms and Sleepers could be the stimulus you are looking for.
- The Silent Ballet

Using drums, keyboards, guitars, and various other percussion instruments, John Emanuele and Rich Cupolo weave richly textured melodies in between cascades of drums, synths, and sparse organ notes, creating a sound that puts them on par with bands like The Album Leaf or Explosions in the Sky. Whether a track contains a lush, ambient-interlude feel or a sweeping explosion of chords, emotion runs high on this disc.
- Jennifer Marston, XLR8R
