"Retirement? You're talking about death, right?" - Robert
Altman
His 'retirement' came this past November 20th. And we're sorry
for the new films we won't get to see. What would he have done
with Hands on a Hard Body. Hats off, sir.
And yes. Believe it. Never before has it been done. Never to be
repeated. Tonight and tomorrow morning and tomorrow afternoon
we pay tribute to Robert Altman's genius for 24 straight hours.
This is not merely a screening, this is a test of endurance, nutrition,
and will power. Mere minutes will separate each screening. Lengthy
tracking shots, Shelley Duvall, Elliot Gould, and massive narrative
conceits will all be on hand.
The long goodbye, indeed, sir.
