The Best of Aurora Picture Show, Volume 3
Called "as charmingly raw as it gets" by The New York Daily News, Aurora Picture Show brings its raw-ness from Houston to New York. This collection of short films and videos are the finest among the thousands of works screened by Aurora in the last two years, including titles by Enid Baxter Blader, Jim Finn and Eileen Maxson, found videos, and cinema for the ear. Founding Director/High Priestess, Andrea Grover, will be in attendance to introduce the program.

Aurora Picture Show is the only venue of its kind in the Southwest. An internationally recognized non-profit cinema, Aurora presents thematic screenings of short works by non-commercial film, video, and new media artists. Housed in a renovated 1924 church building, Aurora retains its evangelical routes by converting thousands to avant garde cinema. Aurora's most recent project (June 2006), the "Floating Cinema," in collaboration with Minetta Brook, New York, screened the works of James Benning, Andy Warhol, and Peter Hutton to an audience of 10,000 on the banks of Houston's Buffalo Bayou.
