Elmapi has traveled from the shores of Corsica,
France to our boggy shoals of Brooklyn. And here's what her
MySpace pages says:
"As pop performer, composer, and electro-acoustician, Elmapi
creates a powerful blend of brut material, sense of voice, and
a fire-brand attitude, "powerful woman-energy" (True
Vine, Baltimore). Her Elmapi incarnation, the experimental electro-pop
musician, urges found sound and 'wild sound' to interact on
a par with vocal and rhythm. The result is something like Edith
Nylon performing French pop with elements of musique concrete."

She will be joined in visual harmony and discord
by Matterlink. Matterlink practices vampling,
which is:
"Unlike "VJ"ing (video dj), vampling
is video sampling with the audio attached, performed live. This
is performed cinema, from infinitely evolving narratives to
plastic psycho cut-up chaos. The potential impact of this work
is enormous, creatively, politically, and economically."
