7:30 Show - The Choreo-Kay Show
POW
is an all female group of dancers and designers committed to
introducing new audiences with visceral work that incorporates
pop
culture, innovative movement, elaborate fashions, and interactive
performances.
A hybrid collaborative, POW works with videographers, musicians,
animators, sculptors, painters and artists of all kinds. The company
is devoted to tailoring each performance to its audience; with
inter-play and site-specificity, the dances are up-close and unique
to
the moment. What is POW? POW stands for Power, only shorter and
more
heavily capitalized. This is what we aim to do as a company- punch
our
audiences with bold statements and strong design.
10:30 Show - The Chase
Get lost in a landscape of visual and sonic stimulation. Original
video work featuring dancer Chloe
Douglas (of the upcoming CSS video
"Alchohol") and filmaker Fred
Brehm (of Adam Green's Nat King Cole- #1
on MTV Germany and Switzerland May '06!), clash YouTube favorites
with
conceptual, hairbrained ideas fascinatingly played out. The topography
of absurdity, subversity, stimulation, perception and compulsiveness
will be unhinged on 4 projectors accompanied by original sounds.
Come
and explore all evening with guest tour-guides/dj/vj's/collaborators
on an charming and bizarre adventure.
