EXEGESIS
is the belief that symbols, scientific thought,
astronomical ideas, numerical ratios and conceptual art and
architecture can be expressed in sound. This philosopy can be
heard on
the group's 2002 debut recording, The Order of Chaos. EXEGESIS
has
performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Summer Arts and Music
Festival in Benbow California and has toured both nationally and
internationally. The core element of this group consists of guitar,
bass and drums and is usually augmented by several computers,
samplers
and outboard effects. Performances are often done to prerecorded
sequences and include lots of space for improvisation. Live sampling
and layering of parts occurs in almost every composition. The
use of
Interactive music software is also prevalent in Exegesis' live
performances and for this night interactive video will also be
utilized. Exegesis is comprised of Danton Boller, Nick Demopoulos,
and
Tomas Fujiwara. More Information and artists bios can be found

Yorgo Alexopoulos
will be creating the video component for this night.
His work has appeared in solo shows at: New Langton Arts, San
Francisco, Bronwyn Keenan Gallery, NY and in numerous films and
television shows including The Trials of Darryl Hunt
(2005), Going
Upriver; The Long War on John Kerry (2004), Kinsey; An
American
Experience (2004), NOVA; Origins (2004), NOVA;
The Elegant Universe
(2003) and The Kid Stays in the Picture (2002).
