Look at that FACE!!! Not since Dustin Hoffman played his
own version of the Idiot Savant in Rainman,
has dumb smarts been so glorified.
I swore that I would go to my grave having never seen this film.
Thanks to the uncreative programmers at TBS or TNT (I get them
confused), Tom Hanks movies seem to play nearly every weekend
and I got caught. And even just watching 45 minutes of this treacle,
I realized my vow was completely justified. Nobody should have
to see this film ever! BUT...
To see this film staggered on 4 different screens with its soundtracks
continually overlapping should offer a psychic window
into the Amercian soul and its box of chocolatism. OR. Like
the dude in A
Clockwork Orange,
this continuous screening will resemble your eyelids being clamped
open; and you will never ever commit violence against or watch
Tom
Hanks
on
film
again.
