Koen
Holtkamp has released two solo albums as Aero
and two albums as Mountains, a duo project with Brendon Anderegg.
Holtkamp has performed with the likes of Alan Licht, Aki Onda,
Fennesz, Tony Conrad, Greg Davis, Minamo & Tape. His work
focuses on extending the inherent characteristics of the acoustic
guitar via electronics and computers.
QUEENS is the
solo project of Brooklyn resident Scott Mou. After two hypnotically
charged albums as the duo JANE (Paw Tracks, Psych-o-Path) with
Noah Lennox of the Animal Collective & touring as a part of
the improvisational group Usun with Hisham Bharoocha, Mark Borthwick
and Dave Aaron it's time to release his solo entity. Nylon
string guitar, voice and minidisc recordings are fed through a
haze of delay creating a trance inducing fog which falls somewhere
between Arthur Russell & Simon Finn. Intimate, dark and beautiful.
"Mysterious, yet familiar and warm, High
Places channels the spirit of school bus sing-a-longs,
back country camping trips, and first prize science fair projects,
while conjuring dreams of faraway places through the use of field
recordings, contact mics on houshold items, wind instruments and
electronic thingamabobs." -- Bill Nye (T.S.G.)
Crash Diet Crew
is Michi Turner on Fender Rhodes and Moog and Diego Hadis (ex-Saccharomanic
Targets) on guitars and effects. They have been playing together
since May, and this is their first show.
