Formed from the remnants of All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors,
Ifwhen are a three-piece
band creating noisy, chaotic pop music. Heavy grooves twist and
turn, rhythms intertwine and melodies overlap. As if The Velvet
Underground were doing algebra, awkward walls of sound leave you
disoriented and perhaps uncomfortable - yet there's somehow something
pretty to be found.
Yuko Sueta is a
Japanese filmmaker who creates unusually manipulated organic films.
She performs with Ifwhen as another instrument in real time, forming
another dimension with images. Together, the four-piece ensemble
build a slightly twisted reality around its audience as one single
machine.
Ifwhen will be performing music from their Will Gently Destroy
You LP and from their new split 12” with the band Dälek.
Yuko Sueta is also currently finishing a video installation being
scored by Ifwhen. Look for this soon at a gallery near you –
