Grabbing the torch lit by the Harry Smith's of the world, this collective sound, road, and light show mixes tape loops with whirling guitars, churlish precussion with noise and space, folk with free jazz and field recordings to create a semi-improvised caterwaul that moves breathlessly between basement fidelity and gigantic dynamics. Some call them psychedelic, others have no idea.

They were recently featured on the cover of The Wire magazine. They are alumns of All Tomorrow's Parties. And some of them live in Portland at times, while others do not. Ladies and Gents, you can always read more about Jackie-O-Motherfucker.

A small acoustic outfit called The Joints will open each set with their own brand of down home on the DL.
