LADYFINGERS is
one of the most eccentric and eclectic acts in NYC. With his
punked-up take on Sun Studios-era
rock n roll mixed with a heavy dose of Captain Beefheart energy,
Adam Weiner (aka Ladyfingers) frantically strums his guitar while
stamping his boot on his patented electric stompbox. Throughout
the set, he morphs from a menacing carnival charlatan, to a yelping
rockabilly hoodlum, to a smarmy cabaret crooner. Drawing from
such artists as Tom Waits, Cab Calloway, Hasil Adkins, and the
Cramps, Ladyfingers' live shows are a rush of nervous energy
and dark humor.
