Keplermusic.com presents...
A limited audience of 50 people will be treated
to a set by Shearwater’s Jonathan Meiburg, who will be
performing songs from his critically-lauded albums. Palo
Santo,
his most recent release, was recently re-recorded, re-mastered,
and reissued in an expanded edition by Matador Records.
Misra
Recording Artist Phosphorescent will open the evening.
Palo Santo was named one of the top ten albums of 2006 by countless
critics – including the New York Times’s Kelefa Sanneh.
Stephen Thompson of NPR called it the album of the year. Shearwater
is working on a follow-up to be released early next year. Jonathan
Meiburg is currently on tour playing piano with Okkervil River.

Matthew Houck of Phosphorescent will open the evening. Houck,
a former labelmate of Meiburg’s, and a current member of
Castanets, was named by the London Standard as "the
most significant American in his field since Kurt Cobain".
Phosphorescent is about to embark on a US tour in support of
its new album, Pride (Dead Oceans Records).
