GHOST MOTH began in April 2006 when guitarist/junk-jammer, MIALESSOT
asked free-jazz multi-instrumentalist DANIEL CARTER to join with
him and knobbie-twister, OLD GHOST for a recording session. The
result of that performance laid the foundation of what was to
come. The first 2 recordings were released under the moniker,
MIALESSOT w/ DANIEL CARTER & OLD GHOST. They played two shows
as HEMORRHAGE, but have since been known as GHOST MOTH. You can

Daniel Carter is known from his work in TEST! and OTHER DIMENSIONS
IN MUSIC.
GHOST MOTH establishes each space it inhabits as a Temporary Autonomous
Zone (T.A.Z.) declaring absolute freedom, "freedom of"
and "freedom from". Leaderless in collaboration. A belief
in improvisation and anarchy as a gateway to the sublime.
