A ritualistic drum/noise/psych freak-out party with projections

Are Powers, Hash Wednesday, and The Fucking Hawk. Prerecorded
afrobeat/funk/psych selected by LeGary.
These
Are Powers
ANNA BARIE (Knife Skills, Fxxxing Lion)
TED MCGRATH (FMold, FOODS)
PAT NOECKER (n0 things, Liars)
These Are Powers forge future-primitive songs from inspiration
such as dreams, spiritual mysticism, art movements like Der Blaue
Reiter, globalization, supernatural phenomena, and the prophecies
of a UFO-obsessed cab driver. These influences constitute a transcendent
and visceral sound the Brooklyn trio has christened Ghost-Punk.
These Are Powers
Hash
Wednesday
Composed of former members of The Occasion, Dirty Rainbow and
other psych-rock luminaries, Hash Wednesday’s improvised
and soul-crushing drone-riffage impersonates a relentless attack
by an army of pagan war gods, which is barely repelled by the
echo-dislocated banshee shrieks of unhinged vocal performance.
The concurrent audience experience is simultaneously exhilarating
and disorienting, leading to a meditative state of unconscious
helplessness.
The
Fucking Hawk
A tribal collective of drum-addicted noise freaks, The Fucking
Hawk combines the afrobeat propulsion of a funk-infused rhythm
section and clapping ensemble with spastic stutter guitars and
damaged analog processing. Vocal improvisations are inspired by
time spent in African civil war zones, apocalyptic capital city
nightclubs, shanty-town bars, and the influence of hallucinogenic
home-brewed alcohol. The Fucking Hawk strives for a performance/ritual
in which the line between audience and musicians disintegrates,
transporting all into a sweaty, thick-lidded zombie trance.
