The
Redcoats Are Coming!
The Redcoats Are Coming! are Richel, Jessica, and Sarah from Brooklyn,
NY. They have been haunting venues around Brooklyn and Manhattan
for
the past year. Their sound is dark and seductive, incorporating
two
guitars, a baritone guitar, keyboard, eerie sound effects and
drum
machines. These musicians are rocking and deadly and creepy and
insane
and fashionable and classy and talented, and also well-groomed
and
hygienic and nutritionally aware. Taking influence from such things
as
spiders, the black plague, Henry Darger, Dario Argento, Rosemary's
Baby, Black Forest, and of course, Paul Revere, their spooky and
danceable songs have been dubbed by some as Drac-core! The band
has
recorded two EPs and more songs are in the works. They will be
playing
shows until their fingers bleed. So much blood!
GLEN
OLDEN
Make two words one-- Glenolden, & we get a thriving mill town
in south
eastern, PA where the mean travel time to work is 26.4 minutes
& the
haunted sloop, Dusty Miller still sails the Muckinipatus Creek.
Now remake the one word two -- Glen Olden, & we have psychedelic
creep
pop trio from BK, NY. Premised as a one-girl-extravaganza, Andrya
ANONYMOUS
(drums/keys/vox/liveloops), grew tired of herself as a lonely
novelty
act, destined for big top bazaars & Vegas hotels. Now, accompanied
by
multi media art maven, Dana Bell, and bass-master, Richard Hoffman
(Sightings), Andrya is free from the fetters of multitasking --
a
maddening trait only her mother could understand.
Just like our three branches of government, the Holy Trinity &
Cerebus,
the three headed dog guarding the gates of Hades, the triumvirate,
that
is GLEN OLDEN, is complete.
Act 1 (7:30pm):
The Redcoats are Coming! play first
Glen Olden Plays next.
(we take a moment to clean up the blood and reflect.)
Act 2 (10pm):
Glen Olden plays first
The Redcoats Are Coming! play next
Justin
Miller (DFA) finishes
them off song by song.....
