99 Hooker’s media collective rev.99 debuts
their newest process design "Sol Sudoku" – a 4
screen extravaganza a la Sol LeWitt & the popular numbers
game. Of course rev.99 will still be having their way with all
things TV from Britney Spears to Hookers Caught on Tape to our
Commander & Thief. Joining live camera by Kathy Coogan
will be DJ Jim Pletcher. The "appropriated
narratives" of Donald O'Finn will be highlighted
along with Brother Russell Scholl’s archive
of Christian Snake Wranglers, shotgun baptisms and other delights.
The New Yorker writes “The blurry chaos of sensory overload,
which looks like psychedelic channel-surfing is punctuated (and
made riveting) by remarkable juxtapositions, unexpected motifs,
and clever satire.”
