WZT Hearts
The world is our sound source and Jimmy Buffett sells us our microphones," says Mike Haleta, the self-described "commuting member" (he now resides in New Jersey) of Baltimore quartet Wzt Hearts. It's a strange comment from the former French Mistake member and current laptop wrangler, but also telling. The music of Wzt Hearts is
definitely wide open, alternately conjuring images of noise gristle, free-jazz wallop, psychedelic expansiveness, and the intellectual curiosity of modern composition.

Formed in early 2004 at the behest of former Cutter/Hammer drummer Shaun Flynn, and also featuring guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Jeff Dolandson (also of French Mistake) and laptopper Jason Urick. Since forming Wzt Hearts have played extensively throughout Baltimore and the East Coast often supporting such high-profile names as Pita, Animal Collective, Keith Rowe (AMM) Gang Gang Dance, Lungfish, and Sightings.

Ghost Moth
GHOST MOTH began in April 2006 when guitarist/junk-jammer, MIALESSOT asked free-jazz multi-instrumentalist DANIEL CARTER to join with him and knobbie-twister, OLD GHOST for a recording session. The result of that performance laid the foundation of what was to come. The first 2 recordings were released under the moniker, MIALESSOT w/ DANIEL CARTER & OLD GHOST. They played two shows as HEMORRHAGE, but have since been
known as GHOST MOTH. You can find more music from them on MIALESSOT's myspace page at myspace.com/mialessot.

Daniel Carter is known from his work in TEST! and OTHER DIMENSIONS IN MUSIC.
GHOST MOTH establishes each space it inhabits as a Temporary Autonomous Zone (T.A.Z.) declaring absolute freedom, "freedom of" and "freedom from". Leaderless in collaboration. A belief in improvisation and anarchy as a gateway to the sublime.

Sands
Sands is the new musical project of Sarah Lipstate (One Umbrella/Noveller), Riley O'Brien, and Megan Paska. The trio uses ebowed double-necked guitar, electronics, voice, and electric guitar to create textured sound pieces that evolve from the melodic to the abstract.
